After missing out on Arunachal exploration in 2006 we headed back in 2008, this time to the far west bordering Bhutan. Namjang Chu, Tawang Chu and the Tenga river first descents were sucessfull. Went back to the Kameng after a gap of 4 years and its .... Headed up into Uttaranchal to explore further with Zak Shaw, Ben Jackson, Sam Hughes & Suba Steve. Managed new sections on the Yamuna and Dhauli Ganga before getting into trouble with the Forest department, walked away with a 20,000 rupee fine!!! .... 4 Ladakhi kaykers have begu to work on the Ganga river after 6 months training that took them to Nepal, Ganga, Yamuna and Tons rivers. Motup, Sangrup and Chotak are from the villages of Nimu and Bazgo and Veeru from Leh now works for Aquaterra. .... Introduction to Whitewater Kayaking There are week long trips & also single day kayaking trips out of Dehradun & Mussoorie on the Yamuna & Ganga Rivers. .... Just completed the first descent of the Harkidun river just above its confluence with the Supin. The crux was a 1 kilometer comitting Class V canyon of whats called Ghuya Ghati.
